Tracking links are the key to earning a rebate as an introducing broker (IB), so let’s discover everything we need to know about them.
About your Tracking link
Your tracking link is a URL that is used by referrals when signing up to OANDA, so their trading activity can be linked to your account. When a referral completes their first trade, you will earn a rebate, and on their future trading activity.
How does the tracking link work?
Each partner has a unique IB ID which is assigned on registration. When a user clicks on a banner or tracking link on your site, a cookie is dropped on their computer. This tells us that you referred the prospect.
Once a prospect clicks on your OANDA banner or link, a cookie will be dropped in their browser. Any registration within a 30-day validation period will then be recorded unless the user clears their browser cookies. Cookies are reset every time a potential client clicks on a marketing partner’s link.

Find your tracking link
Finding your tracking link is as simple as logging into your Partner Account with your login credentials. Then head over to Marketing Tools > Default Link.
As a Partner, it is possible to customise your partner links based on a variety of purposes. All you need to is
1. Log in to your Partner Account
2. All Marketing Tools
3. Filter by the creative you want
4. Click Dynamic Parameters
5. Select trading code
6. Type in the specific area you wish to track e.g. comparison table
7. Copy the URL or HTML code
8. Ready to use
If you want to change the destination of the tracking link to test what landing pages convert better it's pretty simple. All you have to do is
1. Log in to your Partner Account
2. All Marketing Tool
3. Filter by the ‘Type’ and select ‘Text Link’
4. Choose from the available landing pages
5. Copy the URL or HTML code
6. Implement your traffic source
